STEP DOCTOR, the tool used to create a beautiful set of stairs.  By making a perfect template of each step opening, the STEP DOCTOR lets you measure once and cut once.  Try using a tape measure to get the exact dimensions of a tread or riser.  You can get close, but when the tape measure bends at the skirt board you can only guess at the exact width.  Then you have the problem of difference in width from front to back on the tread.  The front width may be 37 1/8″ and the back could be 37 3/16″.  Trying to measure with a tape measure will cost you many trips to the chop saw cutting and recutting and still not getting an exact fit.

By using the STEP DOCTOR, a perfect template of each opening, tread or riser, can be taken to the new tread or riser to mark and cut for a perfect fit.
